Meet Hide and Shine
Hide and Shine is a band formed in 2022 by songwriter Chris Kelly and drummer Michael Chambers, veterans of New York City's post-punk, art rock, and alt-country scenes. Drawing from influences that span punk, grunge, classic rock, metal, and country, the band's sound is rooted in raw energy, introspective songwriting, and poetic, spiritually inclined lyrics. Joined by Chris Ferguson, the group recorded its debut album Soft Machines (2024). In 2025, Hide and Shine released their second album, The Red Core, and welcomed bassist David Andersen to the lineup.
Our Impact
Hide and Shine have been running ongoing PlaylisterClub campaigns for four of their tracks since late June 2025. The tracks they have consistently been promoting on the platform consist of, "Heaven on Sunday," "Look Terrified," "Metamorphosis," and "Love in the Neutral Zone." This is a strong example of simultaneous, long-term promotions—all of which are still running—that have contributed to the artist's collective growth over the past few months.
At the launch of these playlisting campaigns, Hide and Shine had approximately 70 Spotify monthly listeners. As their tracks continued to gain exposure through playlisters on our platform—and these campaigns consistently renewed—their monthly listeners boosted upwards to roughly 4,113 by the time of this report, representing a 5,775.71% increase in new Spotify listeners since the campaigns began.
Greater Success
As these songs continue to reach new playlisters and listeners, the following results represent their combined performance on PlaylisterClub across all four campaigns to date: 302 playlist placements, 59 curator reviews, and exposure to over 2 million playlist followers.
It's also worth noting that over the course of these campaign timelines, their Spotify followers grew from approximately 47 to a peak of 260, demonstrating how increased promotional exposure can drive growth across multiple metrics. Since the campaigns are still active, these numbers are likely to grow further, as promoting multiple tracks simultaneously is ideal for maximizing exposure and driving authentic discovery among new listeners.
