At SongTools, we love spotlighting curators who treat playlisting as an art. For January's Playlister of the Month, we're excited to feature The Rhythm & Melody Room β a curation network led by Ana Caroline and Itinn that puts emotion, intuition, and artist respect at the center of everything they do.

Curating from the soul
For Ana Caroline and Itinn, curation isn't about trends or formulas β it's about feeling. Their approach is deeply intuitive and emotionally driven, guided by how a track moves both the body and the mind. Beats, vocals, instrumentation, and rhythm all matter, but what ultimately determines placement is the emotional response a song creates.
Each track is listened to with intention, always honoring the artist's message and creative vision. That emotional honesty is what defines The Rhythm & Melody Room's sound β and what makes their playlists resonate so strongly with both artists and listeners.

How it All Began
Their journey into playlist curation started through a close friend who later became a mentor. That introduction opened the door to a world they quickly realized had real impact. Curation became more than just organizing music β it became a way to support artists globally, amplify meaningful art, and deepen their own understanding of music's emotional power.
What started as curiosity evolved into a mission: to help music travel further while staying true to its intent.
Growing with integrity
As their playlists grew, one principle remained constant β honesty. Ana Caroline and Itinn believe that sustainable growth comes from being both professional and human. Feeling the music fully, describing it authentically, and offering respectful, constructive feedback builds trust with artists.
Rather than focusing only on what works, they also believe in gently highlighting opportunities for growth. That balance β recognition paired with care β is what allows relationships with artists to last beyond a single placement.
A Brand Built on Individuality
What makes The Rhythm & Melody Room instantly recognizable isn't just their sound β it's their approach. Every artist is treated as unique. Every song is handled with care.
Artists aren't seen as tracks in a queue, but as creators with stories, emotions, and purpose. This personalized approach has become the foundation of their brand, creating playlists that feel intentional, thoughtful, and emotionally cohesive.
Advice for Fellow Curators
Their guidance to other playlisters is simple, but powerful: be mindful with your feedback. Recognition matters. Artists need to feel seen.
A curator's role isn't just to place music, but to elevate it β matching songs with playlists that genuinely fit their emotional tone, whether that's intimate, romantic, reflective, or energetic. When done right, playlisting becomes a form of advocacy.
More Than Playlists
The Rhythm & Melody Room isn't a solo operation β it's part of a broader creative ecosystem. Today, the project is supported by a close-knit team of four: two curators and two administrators. This structure allows them to maintain quality control, consistency, and β most importantly β strong human connection across everything they do.
On Their Radar
When it comes to discovering new music, authenticity always rises to the top. Ana Caroline and Itinn are drawn to artists who lead with vulnerability, texture, and intention rather than chasing formulas. Right now, VERCHI and ERLY are standing out for embodying that honest, expressive spirit.
Why They Do It
The most rewarding part of curation, they say, is the recognition that comes from artists themselves β and the real partnerships that form over time. What could feel like "work" often turns into collaboration between people who genuinely believe in each other's growth and creative vision.
That sense of shared purpose is what keeps The Rhythm & Melody Room moving forward.
